No. 26 (2025): Verbum et Lingua, year 12, july-december 2025
Dear readers,
We are pleased to present the 26th edition (July-December 2025) of Verbum et Lingua: Didáctica, lengua y cultura, now in a continuous publication format. This issue brings together research exploring language as a tool for social cohesion, identity, and pedagogical transformation.
Identity, Society, and PoliticsThe contributions in this section analyze the social dimension of language through several lenses:
-
Inclusion and Discourse: A study on religious translation in Mexican Sign Language (LSM) and an analysis of critical polyphony in literature addressing forced disappearance in Mexico.
-
Policies and Rights: A review of linguistic repertoires as a form of epistemic justice and an analysis of integration policies for non-Spanish speaking migrants in Uruguay.
The pedagogical section offers new perspectives on English and French instruction:
-
Professional and Public Contexts: An examination of teaching practices within the PRONI program in elementary schools and the specific needs of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) for engineering students.
-
Creativity and the Body: Didactic proposals integrating theater, song, and dance as essential resources in the French as a Foreign Language (FLE) classroom.
This volume invites academic reflection on how words and signs shape our reality. We hope these findings prove valuable to researchers and educators alike.
